First aid training across Greater Leeds and surrounding areas
Our trainers run public Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid and Mental Health First Aid courses at central Leeds venues throughout the year — with on-site delivery available anywhere across the wider region. Whether you're booking a single seat or training a whole team, you'll get a practical, HSE-aligned session led by an experienced instructor.
We support employers, schools, nurseries, charities and event organisers right across Greater Leeds, from city-centre offices to industrial sites on the outskirts. On-site team training keeps your people in their own environment, cuts travel time to zero and works out significantly cheaper per person than sending staff to public courses — ideal for groups of six or more.
Why Arrange EFAW Training in Leeds?
Leeds is the commercial capital of West Yorkshire and the second-largest financial and professional services centre in the UK outside London, with major NHS, university, legal, retail, hospitality and logistics employers concentrated in a compact city centre and a tight ring of business parks. Training Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) locally — at the British Red Cross Centre on Armley Road (LS12 2LB) — saves staff travel time, keeps people inside the LS postcode area, and lets us deliver on-site closed courses across the wider West Yorkshire region for groups of 6 or more.
Leeds is the primary economic centre of West Yorkshire and the wider Yorkshire and the Humber region. Its diverse economy, from financial and legal services to advanced manufacturing and retail, means a broad range of workplaces must meet their obligations under the Health & Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 by appointing trained first aiders.

About Emergency First Aid at Work training in Leeds
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training in Leeds is delivered at the British Red Cross Centre on Armley Road (LS12 2LB), a dedicated training facility roughly 1.5 miles west of Leeds city centre with on-site parking and frequent bus links along Canal Road and Armley Road into the centre. The 1-day, 6-hour course is recognised, aligned with the Health and Safety Executive's First Aid at Work Regulations 1981 (as amended) and awards a 3-year nationally recognised certificate. It is the right qualification for low-risk workplaces — offices, retail units, hospitality venues, gyms, salons, schools and community settings — across Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford and the wider West Yorkshire commuter belt. The course is taught by experienced instructors and covers the primary survey (DR ABC), unresponsive casualty management and the recovery position, adult CPR with AED familiarisation, choking in adults, control of bleeding and shock, burns and scalds, minor injuries and seizures. Delivery is hands-on with practical assessment and an instructor-led knowledge check throughout the day, so there is no formal written exam — candidates are signed off on observed competence. We can also deliver EFAW on-site for groups across Leeds, including the financial and legal district around Wellington Place and Park Square, the LS1/LS2 retail and hospitality core, Thorpe Park Leeds (LS15), White Rose Office Park (LS11), Holbeck Urban Village and the manufacturing and logistics estates at Hunslet, Stourton and Cross Green. Public courses run regularly through the year and are typically booked by NHS Trust staff, University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett departments, retailers around Trinity Leeds and Victoria Gate, hotel and F&B teams, Channel 4 and the surrounding media employers, accountancy and law firms in the LS1 core, and warehousing teams along the M1/M621 corridors. For groups of 6 or more it is normally more cost-effective to book a closed in-house course at your own premises — we can travel anywhere across LS1–LS28 and the surrounding LS postcodes, and the qualification, certificate and assessment standard are identical to the public course.
