Why Train in Manchester?

Manchester sits at the centre of a regional economy of more than 2.8 million people and is the busiest UK city outside London. The compliance burden on local employers is significant: NHS trusts, universities, manufacturers, event venues and the airport all need a steady supply of certified first aiders. Choosing a Manchester training provider keeps travel time and downtime to a minimum, and means your team trains close to the workplace they will be delivering first aid in.

Manchester is the largest city in North West England and the commercial heart of Greater Manchester, home to over 550,000 residents and a daytime workforce that swells well past one million. The city centre concentrates a dense mix of healthcare, education, hospitality, professional services, construction and creative industries — every one of them legally required to maintain trained first aiders under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.

Getting here

Manchester is served by three mainline rail stations (Piccadilly, Victoria, Oxford Road), the Metrolink tram network across all ten boroughs, and the M60 orbital motorway. Manchester Airport is the third busiest in the UK. Our city-centre venue is within 10 minutes' walk of Manchester Piccadilly station.

Onsite first aid training in Manchester — workplace EFAW for your team

We run onsite first aid training across Manchester and the surrounding area — your venue, your team, your schedule.

On-site Paediatric First Aid delivery is available across Trafford Park, Salford Quays / MediaCityUK, Manchester Airport and Airport City, the Sharston Industrial Area, Wythenshawe, the south Manchester tech corridor, Stockport, Oldham, Bolton, Bury and Rochdale — a fit for nursery groups running multiple Greater Manchester settings, primary schools and academy trusts, after-school and breakfast clubs, holiday-camp operators, larger childminder networks and corporate crèches. A closed on-site group is the most efficient route when 6 or more of your team need to renew their EYFS paediatric first aid certificate together.

About Paediatric First Aid training in Manchester

Our 2-day Manchester Paediatric First Aid course covers the full 12-hour syllabus for working with infants (under 1) and children (1 to puberty) and issues a certificate valid for 3 years. It is built around the paediatric first aid requirements set out in the EYFS Statutory Framework, so a nominated first aider can use it to evidence the qualification needed by Ofsted-registered nurseries, pre-schools and childminders across Greater Manchester. Public dates run from our central Manchester venue with easy reach from Trafford, Salford and Stockport via the M60, the Metrolink network and the city's rail hubs at Piccadilly, Victoria and Oxford Road. We also deliver on-site closed groups directly at your setting — Trafford Park nursery sites, Salford Quays / MediaCityUK office crèches, Wythenshawe, the Sharston Industrial Area, Manchester Airport, the south Manchester tech corridor and out to Stockport, Oldham, Bolton, Bury and Rochdale — useful when a new setting is opening, when several staff certificates fall due together, or when you're training a whole team in one go. Sessions are taught by paediatric-experienced instructors using realistic infant and child manikins, with practical scenarios covering an unresponsive baby, choking, febrile convulsions, anaphylaxis (including auto-injector use), asthma attacks, head injuries, burns and meningitis recognition. We are a recognised training provider; certificates are issued in the trained adult's name and can be uploaded straight to your safeguarding file or Ofsted evidence pack. A short annual refresher between full 3-year renewals is recommended to keep skills current.
