Why Train in Cambridge?
Cambridge is a global hub for life sciences, technology and academic research, with employers ranging from biotech start-ups on Granta Park and the Cambridge Biomedical Campus through to colleges, language schools and creative agencies in the historic centre. Under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 every Cambridge employer must complete a first-aid needs assessment — for low-risk offices, labs with good engineering controls and educational settings a one-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate is normally sufficient, while higher-hazard sites typically need the three-day FAW. Training locally at our Holiday Inn Cambridge venue in Impington (CB24 9PH), just off the A14 at Histon, keeps researchers and office staff close to the workplace and produces an recognised course recognised by the HSE for three years.
Cambridge is a global centre for innovation, with a unique economic landscape dominated by science, technology and research. Within these highly specialised workplaces, fulfilling the legal first-aid duties set by the HSE is a critical component of maintaining a safe and productive environment.
