First aid training across Greater Warrington and surrounding areas
Our trainers run public Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid and Mental Health First Aid courses at central Warrington venues throughout the year — with on-site delivery available anywhere across the wider region. Whether you're booking a single seat or training a whole team, you'll get a practical, HSE-aligned session led by an experienced instructor.
We support employers, schools, nurseries, charities and event organisers right across Greater Warrington, from city-centre offices to industrial sites on the outskirts. On-site team training keeps your people in their own environment, cuts travel time to zero and works out significantly cheaper per person than sending staff to public courses — ideal for groups of six or more.
Why Choose EFAW Training in Warrington?
Warrington sits at the centre of the North West's logistics, energy and NHS workforce, and most local employers need the standard one-day Emergency First Aid at Work qualification rather than the heavier 3-day FAW. We don't operate a fixed centre in Warrington itself, but we run open EFAW dates every month at our nearby Manchester, Liverpool and Chester venues — each comfortably reachable from WA postcodes — so individual first aiders can always find a date that works. For Warrington-based businesses, on-site group training at your own premises is usually the most efficient way to certify a cohort: no travel time, no lost productivity, and scenarios tuned to the way your team actually works.
Strategically located in Cheshire, between Liverpool and Manchester, Warrington is an economic powerhouse for the North West. Its significant logistics, nuclear and technology sectors mean thousands of local businesses require qualified first aiders. Our training ensures your organisation meets its legal obligations under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.

Getting here
From Warrington, our nearest open-course venues are all within roughly 30 minutes door-to-door. Warrington Central runs frequent trains to Manchester Oxford Road (~25 min), and Warrington Bank Quay reaches Liverpool Lime Street (~25 min) — both venues sit a short walk or tram ride from the station. By car, the M62 J9 takes you directly into central Manchester, M62 J7 into Liverpool, and M56 J10 down to Chester in around 35 minutes. The M6 J21A also connects Warrington north-south for delegates coming in from the wider WA, CW and PR catchments.

Content can be adapted for the area's main sectors: warehousing and logistics at Omega/Gemini, energy and nuclear teams at Birchwood (Sellafield Ltd, National Nuclear Laboratory), utilities and infrastructure crews at United Utilities, NHS and care providers around Warrington & Halton Teaching Hospitals, and the office-based teams at Betfred, THG and Warrington Borough Council. About Emergency First Aid at Work training in Warrington
We don't run a fixed training centre in Warrington itself — instead, the nearest Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) dates run at our regional centres in Manchester, Liverpool and Chester, all comfortably reachable from WA postcodes. Warrington Central reaches Manchester Oxford Road in around 25 minutes, Warrington Bank Quay reaches Liverpool Lime Street in roughly 25 minutes, and Chester is about 35 minutes by car via the M56 (J10). By road, the M62 (J9) takes you straight into central Manchester and J7 drops you into Liverpool, so a Warrington-based delegate can book any of three nearby centres and pick the most convenient date. Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is a recognised course and the standard one-day workplace first aid qualification recognised under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. The day covers the primary survey (DR ABC), adult CPR and AED use, the recovery position, choking, serious bleeding, shock, minor injuries and care of an unresponsive casualty. Training runs for roughly 6 contact hours with practical assessment built in, the certificate is valid for 3 years, and the HSE strongly recommends an annual refresher to keep skills current between renewals. Across Warrington and wider Cheshire we also deliver on-site group training directly at your workplace — from Birchwood, Omega and Gemini business parks through Westbrook, Great Sankey, Penketh, Stockton Heath, Appleton, Lymm and Culcheth, and out to Runcorn, Widnes, St Helens and Newton-le-Willows. We regularly train first aiders for employers across the area's main sectors: NHS and care providers around Warrington & Halton Teaching Hospitals, the energy and nuclear cluster at Birchwood (Sellafield Ltd, National Nuclear Laboratory), utilities and logistics teams at United Utilities, Amazon, Travis Perkins and THG, plus office-based teams at Betfred, Warrington Borough Council and the borough's schools and care homes.
