First aid training across Greater Hamilton and surrounding areas
Our trainers run public Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid and Mental Health First Aid courses at central Hamilton venues throughout the year — with on-site delivery available anywhere across the wider region. Whether you're booking a single seat or training a whole team, you'll get a practical, HSE-aligned session led by an experienced instructor.
We support employers, schools, nurseries, charities and event organisers right across Greater Hamilton, from city-centre offices to industrial sites on the outskirts. On-site team training keeps your people in their own environment, cuts travel time to zero and works out significantly cheaper per person than sending staff to public courses — ideal for groups of six or more.
Why undertake EFAW training in Hamilton?
Hamilton is the administrative centre of South Lanarkshire and one of the largest commercial hubs in the West of Scotland, with major NHS, public sector, contact-centre, retail, hospitality and logistics employers concentrated in the town centre and along the M74 corridor. Training Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) locally — at the Holiday Inn Express on Keith Street (ML3 7BL) — saves staff travel time, keeps people inside the ML postcode area, and lets us deliver on-site closed courses across the wider Lanarkshire region for groups of 6 or more.
As the administrative heart of South Lanarkshire, Hamilton's economy is underpinned by the public sector, business services and a strong retail presence. For every organisation, from the council to a contact centre, meeting the HSE's legal requirements for first-aid provision is essential.

The Holiday Inn Express training venue is in the centre of Hamilton with free on-site parking for delegates arriving by car, and a 13-minute walk from Hamilton Central station.

About Emergency First Aid at Work training in Hamilton
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training in Hamilton is delivered at the Holiday Inn Express on Keith Street (ML3 7BL), a comfortable hotel training suite in the centre of town with on-site parking, accessible classrooms, and frequent local bus services on the doorstep. The 1-day, 6-hour course is a recognised HSE-aligned (recognised) qualification, mapped to the Health and Safety Executive's First Aid at Work guidance, and awards a 3-year nationally recognised certificate. It is the right course for low-risk workplaces — offices, contact centres, retail, hospitality, gyms, salons, schools and community settings — across Hamilton, East Kilbride, Motherwell, Bothwell, Uddingston and the wider South Lanarkshire / North Lanarkshire commuter belt. The course is delivered by experienced instructors and covers the primary survey (DR ABC), unresponsive casualty management and the recovery position, adult CPR with AED familiarisation, choking in adults, control of bleeding and shock, burns and scalds, minor injuries and seizures. Assessment is practical and continuous — there is no formal written exam — so candidates are signed off on observed competence at the end of the day. We can also deliver EFAW on-site for groups across Hamilton International Technology Park, Hillhouse Industrial Estate, the Hamilton town centre retail and office core, Strathclyde Business Park (Bellshill), Eurocentral, and the M74 / M8 logistics corridors. Public Hamilton courses run regularly through the year and are typically booked by NHS Lanarkshire staff, South Lanarkshire Council teams, contact centres in and around Hamilton, retailers across Hamilton town centre and Regent Way, hotel and F&B teams, primary and secondary school staff, and warehouse / logistics operators along the M74. For groups of 6 or more it is normally more cost-effective to book a closed in-house course at your premises — we can travel anywhere across the ML postcode area and into Glasgow. The qualification, certificate and assessment standard are identical to the public course.
