5. Travel & Transport
Travel is a necessary part of delivering on-site training. While our operations are low-carbon in nature, we recognise that travel contributes to emissions and will continue to take reasonable steps to reduce unnecessary journeys through thoughtful planning and sustainable choices.
Environmental considerations will never override accessibility, safety, or learner needs.
- Local trainers: Assigning trainers based in or near the training location where skills and availability allow
- Route planning: Using efficient routing for multiple bookings
- Virtual alternatives: Offering remote options where appropriate and accreditation permits
- Consolidation: Grouping courses to reduce individual journeys where operationally feasible
- Virtual meetings preferred where practical
- Use of public transport encouraged where feasible
- Car sharing for team travel
- Consideration of environmental impact in travel decisions
