About This Course
This comprehensive 3-day HSE-aligned First Aid at Work course provides the full range of skills needed to act as a designated workplace first aider. Covering emergency response, trauma management, and medical conditions, you'll gain the confidence to handle any workplace incident.
Our First Aid at Work (FAW) course is a comprehensive 3-day programme designed to equip delegates with the skills and confidence to manage a wide range of workplace emergencies. This Level 3 Ofqual-regulated qualification meets HSE requirements for higher-risk and larger workplaces where a fully qualified first aider is required. Over three intensive days, you'll learn from experienced instructors with real-world emergency and healthcare backgrounds. Using a combination of theory, practical demonstrations, and realistic scenario-based training, you'll develop the knowledge and hands-on skills to respond effectively to any workplace incident - from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies. Our small class sizes of no more than 12 delegates ensure you receive personalised attention and ample opportunity to practice essential techniques with confidence. Assessment is through continuous observation and a multiple-choice questionnaire, so there's no need to worry about written exams. Upon successful completion, you'll receive a nationally recognised certificate valid for 3 years, enabling you to act as a designated first aider in your workplace. This course is suitable for anyone aged 14 or over, though you must be at least 16 to be appointed as a workplace first aider. Whether you work in construction, manufacturing, warehousing, or any higher-risk environment, this course ensures your workplace meets its legal obligations under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
