About This Course
This 2-day HSE-aligned requalification course is designed for those whose existing First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate is approaching expiry.
Our First Aid at Work Requalification (FAWR) course is a focused 2-day programme designed for delegates who already hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate and need to renew before it expires. This course covers the same comprehensive syllabus as the 3-day FAW course but at an accelerated pace, recognising your existing knowledge and experience as a qualified first aider. Over two intensive days, you'll refresh and update your skills with experienced instructors who bring real-world emergency and healthcare backgrounds to the classroom. The course combines theory revision, practical demonstrations, and realistic scenario-based training to ensure your first aid knowledge is current and your confidence is renewed. Topics include CPR and AED, choking, bleeding control, fractures, spinal injuries, burns, medical emergencies, anaphylaxis, and more. Our small class sizes of no more than 12 delegates ensure you receive personalised attention and ample opportunity to practise essential techniques. Assessment is through continuous observation by your instructor throughout the course, combined with a short multiple-choice questionnaire - there are no written exams to worry about. Upon successful completion, you'll receive a new nationally recognised certificate valid for a further 3 years, allowing you to continue acting as a designated workplace first aider. Please note that there is no grace period - you must complete your requalification before your current certificate expires. If your certificate has already lapsed, you will need to attend the full 3-day First Aid at Work course instead.
